BEING CREATIVE

“Continuous effort, not strength or intelligence, is the key to unlocking our potential”.  ~ Winston Churchill

We must all try and find a way in to our creativity every time we step up to the easel. The only way I know to do that is to show up at that easel, work hard, try things, take risks, make mistakes, and then, adjust those mistakes.

Each one of us has all of the elements of being creative.

We all have the sparks of ideas.

We all have the ability to come up with multiple solutions.

We all have the ability to choose.

We all have the ability to focus.

To see a project through to the end. (This is called perseverance).

To make a left instead of a right.

To dream, to wander, to meander.

To appreciate beauty.

To be able to put diverse things together to come up with something that pleases you.

It’s about creating what matters to you and what is personally meaningful to you.

It’s about creating what is honest, true, real and authentic for you.

It’s about showing up. Beginning. And staying put until something happens.

Best,

David
